NUDE COCKTAIL DRESS

For a few years my designing has been on hold, due to my art journey. But, for some time I have thought about finally getting back to it, to finish up a few projects.

The first one is this classic nude cocktail dress, I started while living in Montreal. It’s made of an underlined Dupion silk.

I had a hard time to find the right colour and quality of lining here though. But, on my last trip to Denmark I found some. So, no more excuses for not finishing it.

Coming up next; a few more tops in green and light pink, but the same cut. Just need to add different skirts. Stay tuned.

This dress is about a size 8, if anyone should be interested. But, of course something similar can be made-to-measure, if you’re not that size. You are welcome to contact me to inquire or if you have any questions.

The Rack

For the reason of my previous post, I am going to sell most of the dresses I have on the rack. These one-of-a-kind dresses can be yours for a very favorable price.

If you have a hard time finding a really unique dress, you should consider to gather together a few girlfriends and book a private presentation of my unique collection of cocktail-, evening- and gala- dresses for all occasions.

These exclusive presentations is only for groups between 3-5 ladies and is on offer for Dk 150,- per person. It includes a glass of champagne with a little snack.

I will tell a bit about my background, motivation and present you for special made-to-measure dresses, where the hallmark is design, quality and fit.
You will be able to get answers on some of your questions and try on some of the dresses. The dresses are primarily in sizes 38-42.

A FASHION FLASHBACK

Long time no see! -due to our project, a commissions and other distractions. . .

In the mean time a little story about my past, that I would like to share with you readers. Recently I went through my archive of old projects and stumbled over this assignment.

Before my formal education, I attended a computer-course at INDesign in Copenhagen, as mentioned in this post.

Actually this small romantic collection was the result of our last assignment at the computer-course. The collection contains five pieces, that can be combined in different ways. It´s made of a transparent cotton and a more structured polyester We had to use all the technics and programs we went through for a Presentation.

INDesign still exist today, if you need to learn or be upgraded about computer programs used in the fashion industry. But only as online-courses. 

A UNIQUE COCKTAILDRESS

This cocktaildress in a lightblue silk with black lace is one of a kind and now available in size 6 / 36. The upper part is underlined with silkorgandy and is just waiting to be adjusted and lined for the right customer.

Perferct for a cocktail-party, reception or any other event. Imagine it with a narrow black belt and a customized hat, the right shoes and perhaps a bag.

A ROCK-CHIC DRESS

This dress is my latest project.

I purchased this special piece of fabric last year in Montreal and what would be more obvious than to do a simple, but chic dress for a Rock Chick, right! Who could you imagine wearing it ?

The dress is a size 6 and European size 36, needs to be lined though, which means there is still time for adjustments if you want it.

THE COCKTAILDRESS

This special Cocktail-dress would be just perfect for a New Years Eve party? 

It is made of silk-taffeta and underlined with silk-organdy. Notice the invisible hemming of the flounces.
It is one of a kind and now available, but only in size 6 / 36. Just waiting for the right customer, to be adjusted and lined.

CUSTOM-MADE FASHION

Fashion, is a fascinating field to work in.

 

But, like any other creator you would like to put your own signature on the clothes. It can sometimes be a big dilemma, because often you have to make compromises to keep the customer happy and satisfied.

Usually the customer  have a certain idea of what they want and that is a good starting point. But the view of the designer is equally important.

The designer or dressmaker can often tell if the idea is suitable for the occasion and maybe suggest improvements or alternatives. Sometimes it takes an effort to convince the customer about that.

To stay true to your ideals is important, but not always possible.

As you can see in my previous post, I don´t think the Wedding-dress of the century had the signature of Alexander McQueen. It could have been any designer or Fashion House who did it.

But obviously you don´t decline an assignment like that. The attention you get in a case like this, is far too valuable.

STUDENT CHIC

-On a rainy day? No! Just dressed up for Student Gala-party. 

 

This is a one-of-a-kind from last summer. The student wished for a green and black dress with a velvet draped top and bare back. 

 

Have you noticed, that the tendencies for gala dresses of students the last couple of years seems to be short dresses. 

THE CUSTOMER-RELATION

If you like me are working with all aspects of fashion, right from the idea/design and pattern-making to the execution of the final product, it is very important to be aware of what kind of customer you are targeting.

My customers are primarily very style- and quality-conscious women, that knows what they want and don´t compromise on quality and fit.

On the other hand, it is also important that the customer knows who they are dealing with and what they will get when they approach me. That is why I am writing this !

My passion is to realize your dreams and fantasies for the big moments in life. By creating something unique, I am putting my mark on and contributing to making your day one to remember.

The foundation for all my creations is my design-philosophy, that I have developed through time. My ongoing creativity via inspiration, that I have got through all kinds of impressions and experiences.

The mark of my creations are conscious design, a perfect fit and good quality, that I find of equal importance, all together to enhance your style and personality.

In reality, creating is a way of communicating and expressing yourself. I am doing what I am, because I can´t help it. Of course I hope that you are able to appreciate and like it.

When all comes to all, it is really a matter of taste, to be conscious about yourself and your surroundings.

BROCADE DRESSES

Here is a couple of the new simple dresses, that I have been working on. A short Cocktail-dress with some width and a long Evening-dress with layers of tulle. 

Perfect for the wedding guests or maybe for the bride, if she wants or has the courage to be a little different. 

The Dresses are One-of-a-kind and made of a nice silk-/viscose blend, in European size 38, which is about a size 8. They are still available, but something similar can be made on request.
