THE RECEPTION

Luckily everything came out right, even though there were a lot of practicalities that had to be coordinated and fixed.

I couldn´t have done without Anne Grethe, Henriette, Daniel, Hanne, Karen, Cæcilie, Camilla and my family. I´m very grateful and want to THANK all of  them.

The reception with friends, acquaintances, colleagues and family went very well and made my day very special.

ALEXANDER McQUEEN

Today's shock! The fashion industry has today lost one of its great designers; British Lee Alexander McQueen, fashions "enfant terrible" was found dead in his home in London on Thursday morning.
One week after his mother's death and three years after his friend and mentor, Isabella Blow's suicide. According to police reports, everything indicates that he also committed suicide.

As 16 years old, McQueen became an apprentice and was eventually educated tailor from Anderson & Sheppard in Savile Row.
He worked for some years, among other things at Central Saint Martins Fashion School, where he later graduated in the late 90's.
He subsequently formed his own brand. From 1996-2001 he was designer at Givenchy.

McQueen was honored as the International Designer of the Year and the British Designer of the Year four times.
He had among others Prince Charles, Mikhael Gorbachev, Lady Gaga, Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyonce and Naomi Campbell as customers.

He will be remembered as incredibly talented and inspiring, an unconventional and boundary-seeking designer. He was only 40 years old. RIP.

The Award season over there is in full swing. The Grammy Awards is The Oscars of the music industry and is the second biggest awards show. It took place in Los Angeles on January 31st.

The Stars obviously showed off on the red carpet in very different outfits, the wilder, the more attention they attracted. But taste and pleasure are different. To see how well they looked, check out the official website for The Grammy´s.

The big winner of the evening was Beyoncé with 6 Grammy's. She is seen here in short sexy, powerdress sprinkled with Swarovskist from Giorgio Armani Privé.
