MY NEW FASHION BIBLE
I was so lucky to recieve this book as a gift from my partner, who brought it home from Montreal.
-It´s from Taschen and contains a selection from the highly succesful "Fashion Now" - editions.
Editor, Terry Jones selected 95 designers out of the originally 160, to show a cross section, from the revered titans of the idustry to the exciting new talents that are striving to survive.
After Benedikt Taschen proposed the idéa, he realised that after three decades of "i-D"´ promoting creativity and ideas, the books selection from its pages since 2000 would serve as an inspiration for a new generation.
Here are a few examples from the book, that you must own, if you want to know what is going on in the fashionworld today.

FABRIC CHOICES
Dear readers! There is no excuse. . . I have had other things on my mind, than keeping up my blog. But you are not forgotten. I have a few drafts waiting to be finished. . .
Meanwhile I´ve had a nice meeting about a new project/collaboration coming up with my friend, Rikke.
I´ve been busy going through my archive of patterns, designing and planning a few new dresses.
Since I have promised my niece to make her a Gala dress for next month, I decided that I might as well use her as a model.
She wants a long simple dress with a cowl back, but I am not sure of which fabric I´m going to choose.

The choice is about one of these washed silks, burned orange or gold. Or this turquoise green silk velvet or crushed velvet. . . She liked all of them. What do you think ?
Oh ! -just for you to know, today I went down at Profil Optik to rearrange and change a few of the dresses displayed, for people to see something is going on. Some of the new dresses might also go on display, so pop by, take a look and give me some feedback.

FASHION DISPLAY - A COLLABORATION
As promised last week, here are the result of the collaboration with Profil Optik, where you can find glasses for any occasion.
They needed something Eye-catching for a new display and I needed to show what I´ve got. We tried to keep it simple and elegant. Some of the dresses might change along the way. If you live in or near Odense, pop by and take a closer look.

UNIQUE CROSS STITCHED PHONE-COVER
What about this Cross stitched cover for your I-Phone?
I was really impressed when my good friend, multitalented Rikke Trolle showed me this cover she made for her phone.
She called it freestyle cross stitching and it´s all made by hand - and took her quite some time to do.
If you like it, she takes orders, but it doesn´t come cheap.

UPCOMING COLLABORATION
Via a good friend and colleague Ann-Charlott, I got connected with the manager of a local Spectacle-business in regards of a collaboration, some time ago.
They needed something Eye-catching for a new display and I needed to show what I´ve got. I´m looking very forward to this and hope it turns out to be a win/win-situation for both parties.
Of course I will show how it turns out here, so stay tuned.
